We hope you will enjoy a little bit of farm news each month – just enough to see what’s been going on, and also to ensure you get the head’s up when you can order our grass fed beef and pork.

Covid 19 remains the only news on the TV, and is still affecting the way we trade. With hardly any events, and many customers wanting free home delivery, we have shut the shop to casual callers, and moved over to a text “reminder” service from Pat and John. If you wish to sign up for a gentle reminder that it is time to order please let Pat (0745 0358812) or John (07966 460312) know and we will add you to our growing list. Email sign ups are also receiving this newsletter to keep up to date with news.
We have been uploading some of the films we made for the “virtual” festivals we attended, onto our website – and they will be available for you to find (if you are a member ) on the Market Drayton’s Ginger and Spice Festival and the Stone Food and Drink Festival websites.

EVERY PICTURE TELLS A STORY
This month the older calves, born in November and December 2019 were “weaned” from their mums before some of them were sold to make way for the new calves that are due to be born in November 2020. This gives their mums time to themselves before their next calf arrives.
ORDER IN TIME FOR FRESH SUPPLIES
As always, if you can order by the 25th of October, that helps our butcher, but we will always do our best whatever the date you contact us. This is a 5 week month, hence the last order date of the 25th
In November our deliveries start on the Sunday the 8th, and we look forward to seeing you soon. If you can’t wait until the 8/11 we can bring your order to Stone Farmers Market on the 7th November.
CHRISTMAS ORDERING
Just a reminder that our fresh meat will be in the shop for very early December, and all orders need to be placed by the 25th November. We will always do our best but some cuts including GAMMON do sell out early (ribs, fillet, sirloin). If you are short on freezer space, we can freeze your order for you until the 23rd, or 30th December for New Year.
