Welcome everyone to our first blog post of 2026. We hope you’re all well. The wet winter has certainly made life a little less pretty on the farm, but the good news is that all the cattle are doing well, as are the pigs.
Today we’re very pleased to share some lovely news from the cowshed. The cows have a new bull — his name is Chance, and he’s now 15 months old. He’s a pure-bred, pedigree, polled (no horns) bull from Herefordshire and arrived with us around Christmas time.
The girls should start to meet him from the middle of February, which is very exciting for us as we look ahead to the year.
As always, we’re incredibly proud of the way our animals are raised — calmly, carefully, and with a great deal of attention. From pasture to plate, everything we do is about quality, care, and producing beef and pork we’re happy to put our name to.
Thank you so much for your continued support — it really does mean a lot to us.
